SKATING

This is probably one of the most important sections of this site. Inline Skating is my number one passion. I began skating in 2002, and has been a major part of my life since then.

Skating promotes aerobic fitness, and is a lot better for you than jogging - it's very low impact, so is gentle on those knees. In addition skating is one of the cheapest sports to get into. Once you have a pair of skates and some padding (because you will fall over) you are away.

However once you're skating a whole new world opens up to you. Opportunities to travel to meet other skaters come up, the opportunity to take part in competitions and skating events. For many skaters buying the skates is just the beginning.

Over the last few years skating has led me to travel all over the UK, as well as to France. It was only because my wife put her foot down that I didn't take my skates on holiday with us to the Caribbean earlier this year.

As a result of skating I've been to places and met people I would never have otherwise have met, and as a result my life is much richer for it.
